One tap starts the odometer. The app follows the drive with GPS and adds up real distance travelled, filtering out parking-lot jitter and bad signal jumps, so the number in your log is the number you actually drove. Tap end and the trip is saved with the date, time, route ends and mileage value.
Every trip is tagged so your log tells the whole story of the day: out to the first customer, across town to the next one, and the run back to the shop. Trips started from a dispatch job are linked to that job and technician automatically, so you can see the driving behind any single job.
Sharing a live map with customers is a separate feature. If you'd rather not broadcast crew location, skip it entirely and use the mileage tracker on its own. You can also log a trip by hand with the start point, end point and miles, which is the fastest way to backfill a drive you forgot to record.
